Nearly all accessories are unisex models that can accompany both men and women in everyday life for decades, with a focus on simplicity and utility.

“With Edition NOTO, we want to deliberately create a contrast to short-lived fashion accessories, whose half-life is only one season,” says Mr Hansl, formulating the brand’s claim to durability and sustainability. “Our bags develop with their owners. Thanks to the supple quality of the material, which adapts to the body and the natural wear of the leather, they become an ever more personal companion.”

The reduction to the essentials and the clear focus on functionality in design are reflected in the layout of the catalogue and of the website as well: everywhere you look, the young label embodies traditional values with a contemporary look.

All products from Edition NOTO are made of quality Moroccan lambskin. Finer than cowhide, it offers flattering quality and ease. The pre-tanned leather is re-tanned in Italy and dyed. “We use traditionally proven quality in material and workmanship in the manufacturing process. In Italy there is an incomparable know-how with regard to processing, which we absolutely put to use in products,” explains Mr Hansl. Thanks to the aniline dyeing, the individual structure of the leather remains recognisable, and the natural surface receives over time an attractive patina. The leather is then sewn by hand.

The lining of all products is made of fine Italian canvas, which impresses the user with its comfortable texture. Quality zippers from Japan guarantee smoothness and long life, thanks to deburred teeth. The carabiner and eyelets used are browned and adapted to the colour of the zipper. Tailored to the leather colour of the bag model – clay, ash, amber and ebony – are the coloured seams, used as a design element. All product details can be found in the collection description.
